About Form 49 SSM
Form 49 (Borang 49), previously required under the Companies Act 1965 in Malaysia, is used to notify the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) about the details of the directors, managers, and secretaries of a company.
Form 49 , is known as the “Particular Of Directors/Officers” or “Butir-butir Pengarah / Pegawai” in Malay.

Form 49 SSM was one of several statutory forms, including Forms 24 and 44, used to maintain corporate compliance with SSM regulations.

Replacement of Form 49 SSM (Particular Of Directors/Officers)
Section 58 (S58) of the Companies Act 2016 is the new form that has replaced Form 49. This form is used for the same purposes, namely notifying the SSM about the appointment and resignation of directors, managers, and secretaries, as well as any changes in their particulars.
